Ellen ten Damme

Ellen ten Damme brings a selection of German and English songs to the stage. Kurt Weil, Brecht but also La Dietrich and Nina Hagen, are some of Ellen's favorites. With her own band she sings unbeschreiblich weiblich, the life of Lilli Marleen and Macky Messer.

She talks about her life; her friends, love life and about her life as an artist. Surely the songs from her album 'Impossible Girl' will be played.

Throughout the Dutch theatres and clubs, die "Purpur Gruppe" reist in jedem fall mit.

Appelpop visitors cannot only visit their favorite artist but also the festival market, where cd’s, t-shirts, rings, earrings and lot's of other stuff is sold.

Appelpop is still growing. In 2001 an estimated 30.000 people visited the 2 day festival. The number went up to 80.000 visitors in 2005 and between 85.000 and 95.000 visitors in 2006.

In 2008 there maybe a fourth tent at Appelpop in Tiel.
